Gujarat Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai has launched Namo Lakshmi Yojana for poor and middle class girl students. Gujarat Government's main objective behind launching Namo Lakshmi Yojana is to promote nutrition, health and education to girl students. Gujarat government has launched the biggest budget so far. In which a total provision of 55,114 crores has been made by the Gujarat government under the education department under which 1250 crore rupees will be spent in this scheme next year. In the meeting held on Friday, May 24 under the chairmanship of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, it is stated that filling of application form of Namo Lakshmi Yojana will be started from next Monday i.e. May 27, 2024 and when the new session starts i.e. June 27 On the day, the first installment of the scheme will be given to the eligible children. This first installment will be a total of Rs 85 crore including beneficiaries of Namo Saraswati Yojana.
